About the Role:

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Mercy Imaging Centers. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in prepping patients for radiologic examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist to patients or authorized individuals.
  • Collect patient data, document patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the radiologist's review.
  • Perform diagnostic medical imaging and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • May be required to work in other modalities with possession of appropriate licensure and occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
  • Licensed by the State of California in CRT.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of, and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety.

Serious impact on patient relationships, patient outcomes, physician efficiency, stewardship of clinic resources, and our image in the community.

Internal/External Contacts:

Patients, physicians, and other clinic staff, hospital staff, patient family members, and vendors.

Supervision:

Reports to the department Chief Technologist/Manager; does not supervise others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment.
  • Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.
  • ARRT Certification.
