POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The individual is tasked with executing various responsibilities necessary for the operation of manufacturing equipment and performing diverse assembly functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As production schedules may vary, all associates must be proficient in at least five different production roles, ensuring the delivery of quality products that meet established targets.
  • Capable of loading raw materials into production equipment such as benders, welders, and presses.
  • Responsible for removing components from production machinery and handling them correctly.
  • Expected to assemble components according to job specifications and manage them appropriately.
  • Ensures the production of quality components that fulfill all customer specifications.
  • Completes necessary documentation as required.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly workspace, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
  • Assists in training new employees in their job responsibilities as needed.
  • Empowered to take action to prevent any nonconformities related to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Performs additional essential functions as assigned.
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting part and process data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proficient in computer usage.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Team members must be able to stand on a concrete surface for the duration of their shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend down, and utilize their arms and hands. Visual acuity is essential for inspecting parts for quality at production speeds and for reading documents, machine gauges, and precision measuring tools.

Production Associate: The team member must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and repetitively lifting up to 40 pounds from and to a height of 10 to 56 inches throughout the shift.

Containment Areas: The team member must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force repetitively from and to a height of 10 to 56 inches up to four times a minute during the shift. Must also be able to exert up to 55 pounds of force occasionally, from and to a height of 10 to 56 inches.

While team members may be assigned to specific areas, all are expected to be versatile and capable of working in all production zones to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Operates within a stamping and assembly plant setting. Employees are exposed to elevated noise levels from machinery, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine components, inhalation of fumes and dust, and skin contact with oils and other substances.
