Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Server Associate to join our team at Elderwood. As a Server Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for table service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service skills to our residents and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for effective communication with residents, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Display a professional, friendly, hospitable, and patient demeanor at all times, promoting a collaborative and team-focused environment.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, prioritizing resident satisfaction and well-being.
  • Promote a collaborative, team-focused environment, working closely with coworkers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Detail-oriented, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the dining room and kitchen areas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age to apply for this position.
  • Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals.
  • Prior customer service experience is highly desirable.
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain is required.
  • Physical stamina necessary for constant activity, including standing, walking, and lifting.
  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred for this role.
  • Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired for this position.

  • In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
