About Us: Serving agricultural and environmental clients, FGL provides water, soil, and plant analyses throughout California since 1925. Our company has five laboratories located in Santa Paula, Stockton, San Luis Obispo, Visalia, and Chico, offering a family-type working atmosphere with many employees having been with us for 20-30 years.

We are looking for a Customer Service/Order Entry Representative to join our fast-paced office during 8am to 5pm Mon through Fri. This role requires someone who can adapt to ever-changing priorities and deadlines, is great at multi-tasking, and has excellent people skills to assist customers as well as coworkers. The successful candidate will be computer literate, have experience with phones, billing, and email, and be able to learn our proprietary computer program for generating data reports and invoices, as well as third-party billing platforms.

This position falls under the category of Customer Service Representative, but it's different from the usual role due to our company being a certified environmental analytical laboratory. Our client base includes private citizens, government agencies, and military organizations, with most of their work being regulator-driven. We help our clients meet the requirements placed upon them, which involves a sense of urgency behind our work. We're involved in environmental and drinking water safety.

We use an internal Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that was designed specifically for our industry. A candidate cannot come to work here already knowing how to use our system. We provide on-the-job training with shadowing and hands-on tasks. Therefore, we're looking for someone with a strong sense of professionalism who is adept and comfortable with note-taking as there's much information to learn. There's a language to our industry that will be learned, as well as understanding the regulator requirements and our own internal requirements.
