About the Role:

The Charge Nurse - Emergency Department is a critical leadership position at KurzSolutions, responsible for overseeing the nursing staff in the Emergency Department. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Ensure patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient flow and staffing levels to optimize resource utilization and minimize wait times.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve Emergency Department quality of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and staff productivity.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead performance improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including patient safety and infection control.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional development and a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of the District of Columbia.
  • Nationally accredited associate's degree or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  • Minimum of 5 years Emergency Nursing experience.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC or CEN certificate.
