Overview of the Remote Clinical Trial Lead Role


The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is collaborating with a dynamic medical device organization seeking a Remote Clinical Trial Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, monitor, and achieve clinical operations objectives
  • Guide and oversee the clinical operations study team, ensuring effective daily management and execution
  • Serve as the primary accountable individual for all phases of clinical operations, including initial study design, initiation, ongoing study management, and conclusion
  • Recognize potential risks that could affect the overall project timeline
  • Develop, update, and contribute to clinical trial documentation, including but not limited to:
  • Study protocols, training resources, case report forms, informed consent documents, IRB submissions, source documents, timelines, clinical monitoring strategies, reference manuals, supply lists, monitoring tools, presentations, and meeting materials (agendas and minutes)
  • Facilitate strategic discussions, study meetings, and alignment sessions as necessary

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive experience in all facets of clinical trial design and execution
    • At least 8-12 years of relevant experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, IVD, and/or CRO
    • A minimum of 5 - 8 years in leading clinical study preparation and oversight
  • In-depth knowledge of study preparation processes, study management, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), monitoring, clinical, and regulatory operations
  • Technical proficiency in various elements of the clinical evaluation process
  • Proven track record of significantly contributing to the success of clinical strategy planning and execution for product clearance
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Additional Information:

  • Remote position
  • May require travel up to 25%-30% of the time; some international travel may be necessary
  • Position type: 6+ month contract with potential for extension
  • Compensation range: $60-76/hr based on experience
