Position Overview

The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluating and treating patients of various age groups who experience medical issues or health-related conditions that hinder their mobility and functional capabilities in everyday activities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assess and address movement dysfunctions to improve physical and functional abilities.
2. Facilitate recovery, maintain, and enhance optimal physical function, wellness, and quality of life related to movement and health.
3. Implement treatment plans aimed at preventing the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments and disabilities caused by various health conditions or injuries.
4. Conduct thorough examinations by gathering patient histories, reviewing cases, and performing necessary tests to identify existing and potential issues.
5. Provide ongoing care through interventions, regular re-evaluations, and necessary modifications to treatment plans to meet established goals and outcomes.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care and family education.

Additional Duties
- Compile relevant information and prepare necessary reports.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Engage in professional development activities.
- Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
Education: Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment is required, demonstrating proficiency in the services provided.
Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Tennessee.

Physical Requirements:
The role may involve handling materials or patients of varying weights. Physical demands exceeding 25 pounds necessitate knowledge of proper equipment usage and lifting techniques. Occasional to frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping may be required.
