Your Role With Us:

As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and playing a crucial role in the effective management of imaging and cardiac PACS and informatics systems. This position entails overseeing personnel, fostering ongoing enhancements, managing system planning and upkeep, budgeting, and establishing operational standards. Your proficiency in imaging informatics and PACS is vital for maximizing system efficiency and ensuring cost-effective operations. Your leadership will require a comprehensive understanding of both technical and operational elements to enhance productivity and quality in imaging services. You will be tasked with installing, managing, and supporting various Imaging Information systems to guarantee optimal performance, stability, and overall functionality.

Background/Expertise:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a large acute care environment is required.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Information Technology, including networking, server management, and familiarity with multiple operating systems such as UNIX is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is preferred, or a combination of experience and education in PACS may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program is preferred.
  • Current certification from the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) as an Imaging Informatics Professional (IIP) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • A working knowledge of Radiology and Cardiology Department workflows is required.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, expense allocation, and team leadership skills is required.
