Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medicine Specialty

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medicine Specialty department.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in step-down care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently and interact with families and patients in sharing the care plan during hospital stays and at discharge.
  • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a board-approved program preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
