Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager IV to join our team at Muscogee Staffing Solutions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Job

This is a full-time position with local travel required within a 50-mile radius of Washington D.C. The Transportation Manager IV will be responsible for planning and carrying out work, resolving conflicts, integrating and coordinating with other functional areas and programs, and interpreting policies and regulations necessary to complete tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of DOS transportation regulations and export, import, and storage contracts. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to use a keyboard for data input with a typing speed of 40 words per minute or above.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of daily audit exceptions for various contracts and tenders.
  • Evaluate invoices for contracts and tenders, verify fiscal dates, create credit entries, voucher approvals, and prepare financial reports.
  • Provide technical support for shipment of U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense shipments.
  • Ensure timely and correct shipment data entry into the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS).
  • Analyze cost information relating to the movement of effects across various contracts and routes.
  • Create work orders and calculate authorized costs for services provided.
  • Resolve inquiries from service providers relating to work orders or payments.
  • Keep personnel updated on status of shipments and ensure accurate monitoring and updating of shipment data in ILMS.
  • Utilize ILMS reporting tools to track shipment status and ensure missing ILMS data is supplied and requirements are completed efficiently.
  • Route automated transportation and travel inquiries and emails to internal and external recipients.
