Project Manager Job Summary

Timmons Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Transportation Group to join our Washington, DC office. As a key member of our Transportation Design Group, you will be responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and developing strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, traffic and transportation engineering, including projects for local Departments of Transportation (DOTs). A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent work experience is required. Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, promoting cross-selling opportunities and enhancing our reputation in the industry.
  • Collaborate with project staff to ensure technical quality, profitability, and schedule adherence.
  • Negotiate scopes and fees, bill clients, and assist in collection when required.

Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position.
