Radiology Technologist Job Description

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing patient-first healthcare by obtaining high-quality images of the body using x-ray equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams, positioning them correctly and instructing them on how to hold still during the procedure.
  • Operate x-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose to the patient.
  • Assist in maintaining the sanitary condition of the radiology area.
  • Comply with Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, and tracking monitors.
  • Support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Radiologic Technology programs from an approved school.
  • Registered Radiographer (R) with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
  • Current Radiology state license.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical Requirements:

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
