The medical center provides rapid, life-saving interventions for patients experiencing chest pain or stroke symptoms, along with specialized services in cardiology, orthopedics, psychiatric care, a comprehensive sleep center, and a Comprehensive Bariatrics Center offering both surgical and non-surgical weight-loss options.

Position Summary:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will assess, design, and execute tailored treatment plans for patients, adhering to the standards and methodologies of speech language pathology. You will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, conducting patient evaluations, delivering direct care, and formulating personalized care strategies. Your expertise will span from neonatal to geriatric populations, ensuring clinical proficiency as required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond to physician directives for speech therapy interventions.
2. Conduct and analyze assessments and measurements for patients.
3. Review patient documentation and progress prior to therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
4. Establish functional objectives based on the expectations of patients and their families.
5. Enhance and restore cognitive abilities, language understanding, and expressive language skills through thorough assessment and evaluation.
6. Seek clarification on physician directives when required.

Educational Requirements:
Mandatory: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Preferred Experience:
Competency in conducting modified barium swallow assessments.

Licensure and Certification:
Mandatory: State Licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
