Dental Care Specialist

This position is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality oral health care services to all patients at Daily Planet Health Services. The focus is on preventing and treating diseases, with a continued emphasis on supervising prescribed treatment plans. The role involves collaborating with management, physicians, dental specialists, assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Additional responsibilities include working with dental support staff and the Dental Director on budgetary, capital expenditure, and HRSA-related matters. Under the direction of the Dental Director, the incumbent assists dental care providers with tasks related to patient care under Ryan White Part B. The individual will also participate in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree
- License to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Certification by the DEA and the Virginia Board of Pharmacy to prescribe, dispense, and administer controlled substances
- Minimum of five (5) years of general dentistry experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including telephone, organizational, and personal computer skills
- Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate a professional demeanor
