Position Overview

The Evening Custodial Technician is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This role involves direct collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Director to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain cleanliness of both interior and exterior areas of the buildings.
  2. Perform essential custodial tasks as directed, including:
  • Restrooms: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces, including walls, fixtures, and floors.
  • Office Spaces: Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all surfaces, including countertops and desks.
  • Break Rooms: Ensure cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Elevators: Clean and maintain all elevator interiors.
  • Main Lobby: Keep the lobby area tidy and welcoming.
  • Public Areas: Maintain cleanliness in atriums and common spaces.
  • Parking Lots: Sweep and dispose of trash to maintain a clean environment.
  • Exterior Grounds: Sweep sidewalks, empty trash receptacles, and maintain the appearance of outdoor areas.

Utilize appropriate tools and equipment safely while completing assigned tasks. Monitor work areas for cleanliness and safety, and assist in other departments as needed.

Participate in team meetings focused on problem-solving and quality improvement. Complete necessary paperwork related to work requests and safety reports.

Engage with coworkers and the public in a professional manner, adhering to all safety practices and reporting any unsafe conditions. Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Be prepared for emergency response outside of regular hours as directed by the Supervisor.

This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the facilities.
