Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from incoming delivery trucks and place them in designated storage areas.
  • Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and are in good condition.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and managing inventory by placing goods in designated storage areas and tracking stock levels.
  • Safety Checks: Perform regular safety checks on forklifts and the dock area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and delivery drivers to coordinate the flow of goods and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and verify shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts to ensure they remain in operational condition.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and regulations, as well as industry standards related to handling and storing goods.
  • RF Scanners: Utilize in-house technology to efficiently track incoming and outgoing materials.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a forklift operator or in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and a general understanding of RF scanners.
  • Certifications: Valid forklift certification and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
