Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned professional for the position of Lead Space Systems Engineer in Dulles, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage technical personnel and drive program success.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and ensuring qualified and experienced personnel are assigned to meet program staffing needs. Additionally, they will track and execute peer reviews for major program events.
This role includes all aspects of staff management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching/mentoring, career development, performance management, compensation management, and separation of assigned employees.

Required Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship with active Top Secret Clearance at time of application, with the ability to obtain SCI.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 9+ years, Master's Degree with 7 years, or PhD with 5 years.
- Experience in Systems Engineering for mission-critical space applications.
- Proficiency in related engineering programs, Microsoft Office, or equivalent document generation programs, Microsoft SharePoint, or equivalent collaboration tool.
The estimated salary range for this position is $151,900 - $227,900 per year. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay, and long-term incentives are also available. A variety of benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
