Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Lead Job Summary: As a 2nd Shift Production Lead at LEER Limited, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the work of employees, ensuring safe and efficient production goals are met. You will prepare and conduct performance evaluations, assist with training, and identify opportunities for safety and productivity improvements. Additionally, you will work with the supervisor to create and discuss team member annual performance goals and assist in monitoring and evaluating materials and quality processes. Key Responsibilities: * Direct and supervise the work of employees to ensure safe and efficient production goals are met * Prepare and conduct 30, 60, and 90-day performance evaluations for new hires * Prepare and conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned team * Work with supervisor to create and discuss team member annual performance goals * Assist with and provide training for employees to safely operate machines and follow processes and procedures * Identify, recommend, and implement safety and productivity improvements * Work with supervisor and other leads to achieve schedule as required * Assist in monitoring and evaluating all materials and quality processes * Follow and commit to meet company policies and procedures for safety, quality, production, efficiency, final inspection, and shipping * Provide lead support over materials handling, production, warehouse, or multiple areas within the plant that may span multiple departments or functions * Audit the floor, monitor productivity metrics, verify adherence to procedures and standard work, correct deficiencies, and escalate to supervisor as necessary * Coordinate with supervisor to review and maintain schedules to ensure resources are available to meet schedule Additional Responsibilities: * May assist in start-up, shut down, checking, and troubleshooting of lines as necessary * May set up operators daily to provide coverage if needed to make sure all lines are properly covered * May conduct quality checks, correct deficiencies, and initiate quality audits as necessary * May check all products and/or materials in the department to ensure quality product is being produced and appropriate inventory levels are being maintained Qualifications: * Must understand and be able to follow all safe operating procedures and requirements * Leadership abilities and skills required * Must possess a cooperative attitude * Must be self-motivated and work without supervision * Must be able to understand and execute instructions * Must have excellent interpersonal skills * Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products * Must have a good understanding of the Walk-In production process * Ability to have a flexible work schedule and attend meetings as required Essential Functions: * Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read blueprints * Ability to use repetitive motions * Ability to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequently * Ability to stand for long periods of time
