Job Summary

The Certified Patient Care Specialist works under the direction of Registered Nurses to provide direct and indirect patient care. This includes assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), reporting changes in patients' condition, and participating in the care planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, etc.
  • Report changes in patients' condition to charge nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Participate in the care planning process.

Requirements

To be successful as a Certified Patient Care Specialist, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant program, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
