Prop Fabrication Specialist

Hartzell Industries, a leader in aircraft component manufacturing, seeks a Night Shift Prop Polisher to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will work closely with experienced craftsmen to ensure the highest quality propeller finishes.

• Construct and polish propellers according to specifications using blueprints and drawings.
• Operate cut-off machines, de-burring machines, and hand-held grinders to achieve precise finishes.
• Suspend propellers from balancing stands to determine and correct balance.
• Stamp serial numbers, patterns, and employee initials on propellers using hammers and hand stamps.
• Collaborate with colleagues to pour molten metal in the foundry and grind castings.

• 3-12 months of prior work experience in a similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Prior experience with assembly or hands-on experience strongly recommended.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving techniques a plus.
• CNC programming, precision machining, and metrology knowledge a plus.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and math skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Lifts frequently (50% of normal work day) material weighing 25-60 lbs. Occasionally lifts material over 60 lbs. Lifting generally from floor level to knee or waist level.
• Must possess close, distant, and color vision and good depth perception.
• Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Capacity to read part numbers and directions provided on a worksheet.
• Estimated salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
