About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Operations Coordinator to join our team at Hartzell. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about assembly operations and has a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

Job Description:

  • Plan and perform various operations connected with the assembly of fans and accessories, ensuring high-quality performance and meeting close tolerances in alignment, fits, and clearances.
  • Receive written or verbal work orders from Production Supervisors, verify parts against work orders, and use prints as needed.
  • Mount motors to fan frames, check motor shaft alignment using tape measures, and manually mount bearings and shafts in fan housings.
  • Install bolts in motor bases, use impact wrenches or hand tools, and ensure proper alignment.
  • Install props or wheels and bushings to motor shafts, use power impact wrenches or handheld tools, and check for proper alignment.
  • Manually install driven sheaves (pulleys) on fan shafts for belt-driven fans and tighten bolts with power impact wrenches or handheld tools.
  • Assist coworkers with manual placement of parts on large fans and occasionally use handheld grinders for fitting fan parts and accessories.
  • Support the Hartzell Culture initiatives, display Hartzell Values, and follow all safety practices and rules.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in assembly or hands-on experience is strongly recommended.
  • Previous application of lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools is a plus.
  • Good understanding of blueprint reading and excellent math skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lift materials weighing 25-50 lbs frequently and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be capable of close, distant, and color vision and have good depth perception.
  • Must reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Be able to read part numbers and directions provided on worksheets.
  • Must be reliable and willing to work overtime when required.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
