Job Summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of General Population Services Counselor. This position is a critical component of our team, responsible for providing comprehensive support services to inmates within our correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of inmate needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized plans to address these needs.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure inmates comply with all program and Massachusetts Department of Correction (MA DOC) rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Facilitation and Education: Deliver classes and group sessions, adhering to established curriculum and Spectrum Health Systems standards, to promote inmate growth and development.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, in accordance with Spectrum and MA DOC policies and procedures, to facilitate effective treatment planning and case management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, conferences, and other meetings, ensuring seamless communication and coordination among team members.
  • Case Management: Provide case management services as assigned, working closely with inmates to address their unique needs and challenges.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in criminal justice, human services, education, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: DOC experience and CADC or LADC certification preferred.
