Position Overview:


American Foods Group, LLC is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team.

We provide a competitive compensation package with a starting wage of $25.25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Identifying and sourcing parts and part numbers from machinery manuals or parts catalogs (e.g., conveyors, saws, etc.).
  • Executing basic welding tasks (primarily TIG and stick) and assessing weld quality.
  • Conducting routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and building integrity.
  • Assembling, installing, or repairing plumbing and mechanical equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Disassembling and replacing defective components (e.g., belts, gearboxes).
  • Performing basic hydraulic tasks, including motor changes and hose fabrication.
  • Completing necessary documentation in the EAM system (PM sheets, work orders).
  • Utilizing basic knowledge of electrical components and their operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Experience with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Successful completion of training in Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food defense, lockout/tagout, pallet jack operation, and scissor lift operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
