Job Summary

We are seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to join our team in Kingwood, TX. This role will involve accurately positioning patients and ensuring that high-quality diagnostic images are produced. The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists and physicians, operating X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the Medical Director.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients
  • Select proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis
  • Position patients and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician
  • Implement infection control procedures for the work area
  • Maintain a sterile field and implement best practices while in the operating room
  • Check X-ray for clarity of image, and retake X-rays when needed
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Ability to set up and operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
  • Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-ray procedure required
  • Ability to clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment
  • Compliance with facility policies and procedures
  • Compliance with continuing and mandatory education programs
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies
  • Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
  • Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • At least two years of radiology experience in a healthcare facility (with one year in the operating room)
Work Week Schedule

Monday-Friday with part-time requirements to be fulfilled

8-hour dayshift
