We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our dedicated team at Thomas Health - Thomas Memorial Hospital. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Unit: 3 Pavilion / 3 T - Pulmonary & Observation
- Experience: Required in Med-Surg, Telemetry, Critical Drips, and Trach Care. Peritoneal Dialysis experience is preferred.
- Patient Demographics: Focus on adult and geriatric populations with respiratory diagnoses and medical conditions.
- Charge Nurse Duties: May serve as Charge Nurse with a modified patient assignment, typically caring for 2 patients. Opportunities for cross-training available.
- Floating Requirements: Potential to float to other units or the Emergency Department as needed.
- Orientation: Comprehensive orientation including general hospital and nursing-specific training.
- Experience: Med-Surg, Telemetry, Critical Drips, and Trach Care are essential.
- Drip Titration: Required for RNs.
- Nurse Aide Support: Yes, with ratios of 1:10 during the day and 1:15 at night.
- Equipment: Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow O2, and IV pumps is necessary.
- Shifts: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Rotation: Managed with core staff preferences considered.
- Bed Capacity: 32 beds
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Monitoring Support: 24/7 Monitor Techs available.
- Dress Code: Solid color scrubs required, with specific colors designated for different roles.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS are essential.
