Job Title: R&D Technician II

The Global Supply Chain R&D team at The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide customer service support associated with the applicator CBG product lines.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical and Professional Knowledge: Accountable for routine experiments, recording results, and demonstrating basic knowledge of dimensional measurements/specifications and basic equipment/computing tools to capture and record data.
  • Project Management: Leads individual or group projects and begins to draw conclusions, creates update reports, designs, executes, and plans projects, completes proper forms, and organizes time efficiently.
  • Communication: Seeks assistance on setting priorities for scheduling and may require coaching from a supervisor or mentor.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensures Safety, Housekeeping, and ISO practices are followed, maintains certification on and follows quality standards, such as ITMs and ICMs, and actively seeks to reduce risk through corrective action of unsafe practices.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Use of calipers and other tools for validating dimensions
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels of technical experience
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis
  • Basic knowledge of CAD and drawing specifications
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
  • Excellent organization and planning skills

The selected candidate will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in Q. Until then, the role will be based at 4440 Warrensville Center Rd, Warrensville Heights, OH.
