RFIC Design Engineer

Apple is seeking a highly skilled RFIC Design Engineer to join our Wireless Radio team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge RFIC solutions for our wireless connectivity products.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop RFIC circuits and systems for wireless connectivity products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RFIC designs with other system components.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications for RFIC designs.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing of RFIC designs to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with RF Systems team to ensure proper distribution of spec margins in the chain.
- Design and implement RF and Analog loopbacks for calibration and compensation.
- Collaborate with RFIC test engineers to bring up, debug, and optimize wireless connectivity chips.
- Provide design versus silicon measurements correlation and compliance with specification for volume production.
- BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Deep experience in designing and bringing into mass production of wireless transceivers.
- Deep understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design.
- Familiarity with various RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs.
- Understanding of impact of modulation type to radio architecture and requirements.
- Demonstrated capability to work with digital design group for an optimum partition between digital and analog domain.
- Familiarity with integration flows and challenges of wireless SoCs.
- Experienced in Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, EM simulation (EMX, HFSS), and similar tools.
- Familiarity with mixed-signal mode verification methodology (SystemVerilog, AMS, Nanotime).
- Experienced in Silicon characterization and debug.
- MSEE and PhD is preferred.
- Additional relevant experience in RFIC design and development.
