Job SummaryAs a Supervisor, Radiography III, you will direct supervision of the Nondestructive Test (NDT) staff, ensuring that the requirements of NAS 410 are met. You will also supervise destructive testing personnel, applying departmental plans, policies, and procedures to accomplish satisfactory completion of departmental assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret codes, standards, and contractual documents to control NDT methods.
- Exercise technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
- Select methods and techniques for specific inspections of ammunition items.
- Prepare and verify the adequacy of radiographic procedures.
- Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
- Provide and/or direct training, examination, and certification of personnel performing radiographic inspection.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
- Five years of NDT radiography experience required.
- Level 3 Radiographer Certification strongly required.
- Other: near vision must be Jaeger No. 1 or equivalent, not less than 30 cm/12 inches in at least one eye, natural or corrected; must be able to adequately distinguish and differentiate colors.
