Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager to maintain high standards of customer service, maximize sales, and achieve Food Lion customer service standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the Front End area of the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to Food Lion's standards and guidelines.
  • Technical Requirements: Perform cash handling, operate a cash register, and use other equipment as required to perform job functions.
  • Communication: Effective communication and customer service skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, as well as adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Communication and Customer Service Skills: Effective communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.
  • Technical Requirements: Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, frequently walk short distances, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent interactions with customers and colleagues. You will be required to stand for long periods, frequently walk short distances, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions. You must be able to tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
