We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Technologist to join our cardiovascular program, expanding our capacity for delivering cutting-edge care. With the soon-to-be-completed Critical Care Tower, we will boast three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.

Our team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists work collaboratively to provide top-notch care. We take pride in our numerous accreditations, including:

  • American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation
  • American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award
  • Women's Choice Award in Heart Care
  • Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation
  • American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation

Job Summary

This role requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to prepare equipment, establish a sterile environment, and provide patient care during cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing equipment before and during procedures
  • Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
  • Maintaining a sterile environment

Professional Practice

This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, including:

  • Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students
  • Participating in the orientation of new staff
  • Using downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
  • Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months
  • Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology
  • Eligibility and/or current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Previous procedural area experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

You will be required to hold:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration
  • Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation prior to providing patient care
