We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Specialist to join our team at VCU Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures and assisting licensed independent practitioners with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Job SummaryThis part-time position requires a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique, as well as the ability to work independently and make critical decisions in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities- Perform CT procedures and assist licensed independent practitioners with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Determine and/or follow appropriate imaging protocols.
- Document pertinent exam information in the medical record.
- Maintain archival storage of imaging exams and associated documents.
- Registry by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Current Certification by ARRT or NMTCB and ARRT-CT.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- One (1)-3 years of previous CT Technologist work experience.
