We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our bioprocessing equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide instruments and equipment services, including installation, basic training, preventative maintenance, repair, and compliance services.
- Work closely with other departments to improve customer experience and ensure prompt customer response times and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in assigned territory.
- Support product quality improvement and identify, recommend, and prioritize improvements to the customer experience and internal process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer technology, E/E, Automation, or biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- AA degree in a technical field or a combination of education and 3+ years of experience that demonstrates the required skills.
- Delta V or other control software experience is a plus.
- Outstanding teammate with strong communication skills and ability to work with counterparts and customers across the world.
- Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and desktop application products.
- Well-oral and written English skill.
- Able and willing to travel extensively.
- Competitive salary range estimated for this position based in California is $82,000.00–$122,000.00.
- Variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
