Bioprocess Technician

We are seeking a skilled Bioprocess Technician to join our team in the East Bay area of San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on setup, execution, and cleanup of fermentation and downstream unit operations.

• Setup, sterilization, and breakdown of bioreactor systems and DSP equipment.
• Routine sampling, assay processing, seed training, and data collection.
• Prepare media solutions for fermentation projects.
• Perform downstream unit operations such as centrifugation and tangential flow filtration.
• Clean and autoclave glassware and equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment, troubleshoot lab issues.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Interface with the Bioprocess team for collaboration.

• AA degree or Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, or life sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of lab experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup or industrial wet-lab environment.
• Familiar with aseptic technique, pipetting, recordkeeping, and lab equipment.
• Ability to adapt to shifting work plans and priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
