Compassionate Hospice Support Volunteer

Interim HealthCare Home Health and Hospice is a community-focused provider of essential post-acute care services. Your time can make a significant difference in someone's life.
We are currently looking for dedicated Hospice Support Volunteers to join our expanding Hospice Division.
Please note that this is a volunteer opportunity without compensation.
Your Role as a Volunteer
- Engage with your patient through reading, sharing smiles, listening to their stories, enjoying music together, or playing games.
- If you prefer an administrative capacity, we have roles available at our Corporate Hospice office for support in office tasks.
- This position offers flexibility, and we appreciate any time you can contribute.

Volunteer Duties
- Complete the official application and background check process after being contacted.
- Engage in an interview process.
- Attend initial training and orientation for volunteers.
- Devote time to your assigned patient or assist with administrative tasks.
- Maintain regular communication with your Volunteer Coordinator.
- Document interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Volunteer Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current car insurance.
- Exhibit kindness, compassion, reliability, and emotional stability.
