Position OverviewAs a Production Operator at J. L. Nick & Associates, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. You'll ensure the efficient production of piping products while maintaining a safe and clean working environment. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, performing quality inspections, and collaborating effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities- Work a scheduled shift dedicated to producing product, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting production goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean working area by following company policies and procedures for housekeeping and safety.
- Follow safety policies and procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform required quality inspections of product to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, reporting any defects or deviations promptly.
- Maintain acceptable attendance that meets J. L. Nick & Associates, Inc.'s policy, reporting to work as scheduled and minimizing unplanned absences.
- Work well with others, fostering a positive team environment, and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow leadership direction from supervisors and team leaders to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to work a scheduled shift dedicated to producing product, including flexibility for overtime as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to perform required quality inspections of product in a timely manner.
- Acceptable attendance record that meets J. L. Nick & Associates, Inc.'s policy, reporting to work as scheduled and minimizing unplanned absences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Willingness to follow leadership direction and contribute to the success of the team.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity to lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and performing quality inspections.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Comfortable wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
