Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishing and sanitizing work areas.
  • Adhering to preparation lists provided by chefs.
  • Measuring and preparing essential ingredients such as stocks, sauces, and vegetables for cooking.
  • Creating simple dishes, including soups, salads, and desserts.
  • Ensuring proper storage and accessibility of all food items.
  • Following recipes accurately, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace, including the proper handling of utensils and equipment.
  • Upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitoring food and cooling room temperatures.
  • Evaluating the quality of ingredients received from suppliers.
  • Executing opening and closing kitchen procedures.
  • Operating kitchen appliances such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers.

Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in a culinary preparation or cooking role.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, including safe temperature guidelines for food storage and preparation.

  • Ability to maintain composure and work positively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Capability to follow instructions and recipes accurately to meet restaurant standards.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to handle kitchen tools, such as knives.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and handle high temperatures for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Food Handler Certification is required.
