Job Summary

Auxiliary Services, State University College at Oswego, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Salad Person. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing food, including fresh vegetables and fruits, slicing meats and cheese, and preparing sandwich spreads and desserts on a large scale, while adhering to New York State Health Department guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food for large-scale consumption, including salads, sandwiches, and desserts
  • Slice meats and cheese, and prepare sandwich spreads
  • Follow New York State Health Department guidelines for food preparation and handling
  • Work collaboratively with the building manager and other team members to ensure efficient and effective food service
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • One year of experience in quantity food preparation
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchens and food preparation procedures
