About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Behavioral Health Team Lead and Psychiatrist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a key member of our interdisciplinary program, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise in behavioral health care for Veterans.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires providing outpatient care to Veterans with mental health disorders as part of an integrated team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical and/or administrative supervision, management, and/or program coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oversight for one BHIP team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychologists, social workers, and licensed practical nurses.
  • Administer and coordinate performance standards and evaluations, workload evaluation, competencies, efficiencies, and all other personnel-related responsibilities.
  • Serve as the clinical lead and consultant for BHIP psychiatry and psychiatric providers.
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in all the US states
  • Residency Training leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with clinical and/or administrative supervision, management, and/or program coordination.
