Adenoviral Vector Scientist

Position Overview:

Join Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) as a dedicated scientist in our RNA, Gene Therapy, and Delivery Department. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Gene Therapies aimed at addressing critical medical needs. Our focus is on utilizing Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) vectors for the delivery of therapeutic proteins, particularly in the fields of ophthalmology, neurology, and infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in small-scale production of adenoviruses using mammalian cell cultures, followed by purification processes utilizing AKTA-based IEX chromatography.
• Conduct a variety of viral titration and quality control assays, including ddPCR, viral potency assessments, PAGE/agarose gel electrophoresis, western blotting, DLS/DSF, and ELISA.
• Collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating individual initiative to achieve project goals and timelines.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific field is required.
• Prior experience in Gene Therapy is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in Protein Purification or Antibody Purification is essential.
• Familiarity with Chromatography techniques, particularly IEX, is necessary.
• Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is a significant plus.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a related area is expected.
• Knowledge of AKTA systems, PAGE, and DLS/DSF techniques is preferred.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks is highly beneficial.
