Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Design Engineer, Structures Aerospace & Defense to support the next generation of industry-leading aerospace frame architecture development. As a key member of our team, you'll help transform vehicle structural systems away from traditional manufacturing by leveraging new materials and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage CAD models for individual NodesTM and full structure assemblies.
  • Manage BOM creation and population of the Nodes and hardware.
  • Collaborate with inter-group engineers to understand manufacturing/design capabilities and limitations.
  • Present design summaries and comprehensive reports to customers and engineers.
  • Develop and execute new technical solutions for aerospace structures to support external customer programs and joint development efforts.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in aerospace structure design.
  • 3-5 years of CAD experience creating detailed and intricate models.
  • 3-5 years of PLM experience.
  • Solid understanding of linear/nonlinear behaviors of advanced materials.
  • Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs.
  • Outstanding comprehension of solid mechanics.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to manage personal workload and execution to tight schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Siemens NX experience.
  • Teamcenter experience.
  • Knowledge of overall vehicle systems/sub-systems and requirements.

$100,980 - $126,170 a year
