About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our AWS Global Brick and Position Delivery team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical program managers who support our data center scaling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the progress of our networking brick program, anticipate risks, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and processes.
  • Manage individual contributor job performance.
  • Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs.
  • Provide regular program progress reporting.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
  • Manage multiple competing projects simultaneously.
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement and automated solutions.
  • Report ad-hoc, weekly, and monthly program and operating metrics.
  • Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of project management experience or 7 years of project management experience (experience can be substituted for degree).
  • Minimum of 3 years managing teams ranging from 3-10+ direct reports.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing complex technology or infrastructure-related projects.
  • 3+ years of experience involved in data centers, networking engineering, and/or systems engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or advanced professional degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, and MS Sharepoint.
  • Experience with and deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies as well as basic Python and SQL skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills as well as a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment.
