Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach English courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in English, literature, creative writing, or a related field, and a commitment to academic excellence and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students of their progress in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in English, literature, creative writing, or a related field
  • Commitment to academic excellence and exceptional service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
