Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Supervisor to join our team at YWCA Lancaster. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a suitable physical and emotional environment for children, adhering to YWCA Lancaster's Child Care Manual and DPW Child Care regulations.
  • Maintain positive interactions with children, parents, and staff, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Work cooperatively with the Center Director, staff, and other YWCA employees to ensure the smooth operation of our programs.
  • Stay familiar with YWCA Lancaster policies and procedures, Child Care manual procedures, and Keystone Stars requirements to ensure program quality.
  • Enforce center policies with parents and children, and cover breaks and absences as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in the Education field or related Human Services required.
  • Ability to embody the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb, lift overhead, bend, and move from sitting to standing positions.
  • Ability to attend a minimum of 12 hours of training per year and attend staff meetings.
