Job Summary:

As a School Age Group Supervisor at YWCA Lancaster, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare services to children in the Penn Manor School District. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Childcare Supervisor, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our childcare programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Caring for children within the context of the YWCA of Lancaster Child Care Manual and DPW Child Care regulations.
Preparing suitable physical and nurturing environments for ALL children so that they may grow physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
Maintaining appropriate interactions with children, parents, and staff.
Maintaining a positive atmosphere within the classroom.
Working cooperatively with the Center Director, staff, and other YWCA employees.

Requirements:

Associate's degree or higher in the Education field or related Human Services required.
Respect for children and their parents, as well as a belief in the individuality of each child.
Candidates must possess the desire and ability to embody the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
2,500 hours of childcare experience is required.
Must be able to lift 45 lbs. and have movement ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb, lift overhead, bend and move from sitting position on floor to standing position.
