We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) to join our team at National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS).

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 based on skills and experience, with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Job DescriptionAs a Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC), you will be responsible for coordinating jobsites, communicating clearly with dispatchers, train crews, and other personnel, and enforcing all railroad, state, and federal policies.
- Provide clear and concise job briefings with all personnel on each job site.
- Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
- Identify rule violations and resolve in accordance with Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad, Regional Short Line, Transit System, State DOT Rail Division, Railroad Supplier, Railroad Contractor, and/or Railroad Consultant.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills in basic email, phone, and text message applications, Android OS, Citrix Applications.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
This job operates in a field environment, requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time, walk on level/uneven ground, see up close, distances, colors, and have use of peripheral vision and depth perception, tolerate extreme heat/cold temperatures, dusty/noisy conditions, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
