Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Central City Concern is a leading nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by homelessness, poverty, and addictions in the Portland metro area. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Job Summary:The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This role will involve providing psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and interventions, as well as prescribing and managing medication.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and manage medication, including buprenorphine and other medication-assisted treatments.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, including motivational interviewing and other evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Document client progress and treatment plans in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice nursing in Oregon and certification as a PMHNP by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and National certification.
- 3-4 years of experience practicing as a PMHNP preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
