Foster a nurturing environment for young minds by becoming a Cook at KinderCare Learning Companies. As a vital member of our team, you'll play a key role in shaping the lives of our students.

As a Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for our children, adhering to our in-house nutritionist's developed menu and recipes. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain kitchen equipment and supplies in a clean and organized manner
  • Order food and supplies in accordance with our menu and recipes
  • Dispense and store medication as requested by our center staff
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation as required by KinderCare and relevant regulations
  • Participate in center duties and support the success of our center by collaborating with staff and leadership

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with proper food storage and handling procedures, as well as the ability to implement methods for avoiding food cross-contamination
  • Ability to follow our nutritious menu and prepare sufficient quantities of food for our center population
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating serving portions
  • Possession of a Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain
  • At least one year of institutional cooking experience, with food ordering experience highly desirable
  • Two or more years of experience working with children, highly desirable
  • Physical ability to use a computer with basic proficiency and lift up to 40 pounds, as required
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with our students and their parents
