HDR's Oregon Transportation team is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing practice and world-class engineering roadway design expertise. Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team with medium to large projects.
  • Prepare and oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and ADA ramp design.
  • Prepare the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plans.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams.
  • Project management skills desirable.
  • Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans.
  • Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
