Diesel Mechanic Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic Specialist, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
  • Lead inspections of brake systems, all engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Prioritize repairs to maximize efficiency and timely completion of work orders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.
  • ASE Certifications preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
