Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design, project management, and coordination. Responsibilities will include conducting customer evaluations, developing project scopes, determining design criteria, and reviewing project layouts.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate initial customer evaluation requests and develop well-defined project scope with accurate cost estimates
  • Determine design criteria in accordance with required standards and specifications for assigned projects
  • Review the proposed project layout and compare with existing conditions in the plant
  • Validate the dimensions shown in the prints are correct for the new equipment and HVAC for the project
  • Make corrections as needed to adhere to project requirements
  • Review and redline 3D models and shop drawings for all identifiers created by the Designer(s) until they meet the owner's specifications and needs of the project
  • Create field drawings and collect general information to translate existing process and/or completed projects into as-built drawings for record keeping
  • Track project performance by utilizing the project management tools of current software system
  • Responsible to be onsite throughout installation to oversee the Design Implementation is successful and correct
  • Lead project preparation for Project Manager and team for all projects
  • Assist in array of contract administration tasks including permitting, new vendor forms, and new customer requirements
  • Lead by training, mentoring, and providing guidance to team members
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC
  • Mechanical degree preferred and/or applicable industry experience
  • 5+ years using 2D and 3D software
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and/or CAD
  • Create manufacturing drawings and schedules
  • Experience with Procore - Project Management Software (preferred)
  • In-depth understanding of Project Lifecycle from Preconstruction to Closeout
  • High attention to detail capabilities with the ability to be a self-starter
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • 45 to 55 hours per work week in the office and on project site
  • Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check
